Kids Matter At Lake Spokane
Community Church!
Vision:
To teach kids to LOVE GOD and LOVE OTHERS,
while encouraging PARENTS in their SPIRITUAL
LEADERSHIP within their FAMILY.
Specific Goals:
- Clearly Present the Gospel Message: "God saved
you by his grace when you believed. And you
can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
Salvation is not a reward for the good things
we have done, so none of us can boast about it." Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT) - Build a friendship with each child and family and show them God's Love
- Teach kids how to use the Bible and find verses
- Encourage reading the Bible at home and memorizing Bible Verses
- Have a SAFE, welcoming, and FUN environment!
- Create opportunities for them to Serve and Give
- Help kids see how God can use them NOW to bless others. "Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

AWANA Kids Club Wed 6:20-8pm
AWANA is for children in K- 6th grade. We meet every Wednesday, mid September through April, from 6:20 pm until 8:00 pm There are games, scripture memory, Bible teaching, contests, and awards. It costs $30 a year. This covers the cost of a t-shirt, book, and awards. (scholarships are available, and we never want cost to be the reason for not coming) This is a really fun time for the kids and a time to grow spiritually. Contact Tom Moe at (509) 276-5472 or email lscc@ptera.net for more information.

Who is the Children's Director?
Sarabeth Templin grew up as a Pastor's kid in a small church in Southern Idaho. This afforded her many opportunities to serve in her church. She always enjoyed babysitting and being a leader in AWANA during highschool. She entered college with the plan to learn more about leading in ministry so that she could invest in young people and help them grow in their Christian faith. She graduated from Whitworth College after having studied Music and Children's Ministry.
Pastor Bob had known Sarabeth since she was in highschool, and he approached her and encouraged her to apply for the part time Children's Director position opening at his church. Sarabeth then began serving at LSCC in January of 2006.
In April of 2008 she married fellow Whitworth Alum, Joel Templin. He also enjoys teaching kids, so you'll see him around. You can contact Sarabeth by email at Sarabeth.S@gmail.com.
