We are once again going to host a soccer camp on our community field. Last hear we had 100+ kids who wanted to come, but we only have room for 72. Registration begins June 30th. Kids learn about the Bible and have fun improving their soccer skills.

Our church partners with Pend Oreille Bible Camp to provide camps for kids that are loaded with lots of fun, new friends, water tubing, and loads of Biblical truth. The camp is located near Newport, WA, approx. 1 hour to the North.

At our 9:00 a.m. service this summer the kids will participate in worship upstairs with the adults. Then during the sermon they will head downstairs with leaders to go through lessons about "What's in the Bible?", a chronological look at the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

At our 10:30 a.m. service kids are invited to join us downstairs for an entire hour of fun Bible learning. This way parents can attend the Truth Project class or the Worship Service.

Children are always welcome in the service upstairs. We encourage families to worship together, but we also offer Bible classes as an option for families.

Loving Children workers are available all morning long.
They integrate simple Biblical Truths into the play time.

AWANA Club is for children in K- 6th grade. We meet every Wednesday, mid September through April, from 6:20 pm until 8:00 pm There are games, scripture memory, Bible teaching, contests, and awards. Dues are 50 cents per week to help cover the cost of awards. This is a really fun time for the kids and a time to grow spiritually. Kids are encouraged to serve and learn what gifts God has given them. There are opportunities for kids to serve in KIDS Church, AWANA, VBS, and to be helpers in the nursery. Kids must fill out a short application form. A training session is required for certain roles.

All Children's Workers are required to fill out an application and agree to a background check to make sure they have no history of misbehavior relating to children

Sarabeth Templin grew up as a Pastor's kid in a small church in Southern Idaho. This afforded her many opportunities to serve in her church. She always enjoyed babysitting and being a leader in AWANA during highschool. She entered college with the plan to learn more about leading in ministry so that she could invest in young people and help them grow in their Christian faith. She graduated from Whitworth College after having studied Music and Children's Ministry.

Pastor Bob had known Sarabeth since she was in highschool, and he approached her and encouraged her to apply for the part time Children's Director position opening at his church. Sarabeth then began serving at LSCC in January of 2006.

In April of 2008 she married fellow Whitworth Alum, Joel Templin.
